The principle of electrostatic rotary cup spraying is mainly based on electrostatic adsorption and high-speed rotation of rotary cup atomized coating. Specifically, the electrostatic rotary cup spray gun atomizes the coating into very small particles (50-100 microns) with negative charges through a high-speed rotating rotary cup. At the same time, the sprayed workpiece is grounded as a positive electrode, forming a high-voltage electrostatic field between the rotary cup and the workpiece. Under the action of an electric field, negatively charged paint mist particles are adsorbed onto the surface of the workpiece, completing the spraying process.
Working principle of electrostatic rotary cup spraying
Atomization effect: The electrostatic rotary cup spray gun generates centrifugal force through high-speed rotation, atomizing the coating into fine particles. This high-speed rotation not only enhances the atomization effect, but also improves the smoothness and gloss of the paint film.
Electrostatic adsorption: The rotating cup is connected to the negative electrode, and the workpiece is grounded as the positive electrode, forming a high-voltage electrostatic field between the two. The coating diffuses into a uniform thin film on the inner wall of the rotary cup under the action of centrifugal force, and then further atomizes into negatively charged paint mist particles. These particles are adsorbed onto the surface of the workpiece under the action of electric field force.
